1. Who is Ilija Mitrov? Can you tell us more about yourself?
Hi everyone!
My name is Ilija and I am 24 years old. Currently, I'm working as a Software Engineer in Lisbon, Portugal and Python / AI Trainer in Semos Education. I have more than 3 years of experience in programming. I've started as a Python Developer and after gaining some experience, I've moved more into an Artificial Intelligence programming and Machine Learning, credits to Semos Education.
2. How did you start your career in the world of artificial intelligence and why did you decide to work in this field?
Artificial Intelligence as an industry is getting bigger and bigger and as a result, AI developers are increasingly in demand all over the world. The techniques used in AI programming themselves are really very interesting and challenging and I think that was the main reason why I focused on AI programming.
3. What does it mean to be the first certified AI Practitioner in the Balkans?
Oh, of course, the feeling is wonderful, but on the other hand it was not easy to achieve that success. You must be fully committed to your plans and work, especially when it comes to programming. There have been many days spent learning and experimenting with Artificial Intelligence tools, but of course, in the end, the work pays off.
4. What skills did you gain in the Certified AI Practitioner course with Stacey McBrine? Who would you recommend this training to?
I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to be up to date with today's technologies. Whether you have some prior knowledge in programming or not, I would recommend this course to everyone. First you will get acquainted with the concepts of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and then you will slowly get into programming with those tools as well as implementing that whole science in the real world and in real business problems.
5. Tell us more about your experience with Stacey McBrine
I'm sure that during those lectures with Stacey, I loved Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning even more as a science. I have attended too many lectures so far, but those lectures are one of my favorites.
Stacey is a very attentive lecturer and his priority is to teach everyone no matter how long it takes to achieve that. Stacey has extensive teaching experience and Artificial Intelligence itself as a broad science.
6. Why is this certification so important in this field? Tell us more about the Certified AI Practitioner…
AI science itself is growing more and more every day, and without us, the developers, this would not have been possible. Prioritize this course and this certificate because as I said, developers with this type of certification are always one step ahead of others, whether it is in everyday work or in the process of hiring an AI programmer that will be like you.
7. What is the best way to succeed as a Certified AI Practitioner? What advice would you give to those who are considering enrolling in the 5-Day AI Course at Semos Education?
One hint from me: study thoroughly and with understanding, do not attend this course just for time-passing!
One more thing, take notes! Of course, at the beginning of the course you will get all the necessary materials from Stacey, but it is very important to take notes. Write down what Stacey says is very important and necessary for the exam.
8. What skills should a Certified AI Practitioner have, to be successful?
I will be brief with the answer: desire to learn and experiment with new technologies all the time and always learn something extra off the course. Use every free time to replenish your knowledge because the world and technologies are changing very fast.
9. Which of your projects are you especially proud of?
Until now, in my professional life I have worked on quite large projects. One of them was working for American Express. In terms of Artificial Intelligence projects, I have developed a movie recommendation system and a real-time face tracking system. It was all part of the course with Stacey, but of course after the lectures, in my spare time.
10. How do you maintain work-life balance?
You must always find time for yourself, your friends and loved ones. Please make a balance between work time and time for yourself. If we consider that working hours on average last 7-8 hours a day, then if you allocate the time properly, there is time for everything!
11. What is your personal motto?
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
